Courtyard San Juan Miramar

The staff offers excellent, friendly, and efficient service across the hotel. Guests enjoyed comfortable, spacious, and quiet rooms with cozy beds and pillows, away from the elevator noise.

We stayed at the Courtyard San Juan Miramar for 6 nights with our baby. Overall, it was a good experience and staff were all friendly. Having two good restaurants downstairs was convenient, even though we only went to the Comedor. There were a few good restaurants in the vicinity including the Ceviche Market which we enjoyed every meal we ordered, and the La Hacienda Meat Center just at the kitty corner of hotel with good coffee, desserts, and ready-to-eat food. I really would have liked to use the pool but the location was not comfortable as it was right outside the Comedor's and visible to everyone in the restaurant. I wish we would have been told that there are laundry machines in the basement we could use so I didn't have to go half an hour away.

I noticed on Monday morning that my heart rate monitor was missing from the hook I left it on in the bathroom to dry. I immediately reported this to the front desk. Multiple times throughout the day the front desk and manager promised they would call me on my cell phone with an update but they never did so I kept having to go to the front desk to check in with them. They were unable to find the heart rate monitor and said that the housekeeper “accidentally” took it when she was cleaning the room. How does that happen accidentally? And why weren’t they able to find it? It was on its own hook in the bathroom so there is no way it could have been an accident. I was unable to speak to the general manager because he was not in the office so I emailed him and all he did was reply with a generic email with no apology at all and I still am out over $120 and never got my heart rate monitor back. When I spoke to the front desk manager, Antonio, he said it there was nothing they could do for me and that it was my fault because I left it in my room and that items are not safe in your room in the middle of your stay. The general manager, Francisco offered to take $120 off the bill, but I didn’t pay for the room so that does not help me at all. He did not offer any other solution, or even apologize that his employee stole from my room. I just want my heart rate monitor back or it replaced.
